They are also larger than most bedrooms of this category hotel and have been decorated with funky lighting that you can change to suit your mood, fashionable furniture, and flat screen televisions, to name but a few unique features that this hotel has to offer. The bathrooms were also modernised and are also in very good conditionRestaurant:Due to its location, their is no restaurant in this hotel but the breakfast room is located in the lobby. It is quite a dark space as the fixtures are predominantly black, however, it is very up to date and almost chic with large tables, an attractive bar behind the reception, a flat screen television and a intimate lounging area.Exterior:This hotel is on the corner of 2 roads that arrive at a point at the front door of the hotel giving it a unique shape. It is a fairly traditional exterior.Lobby:The lobby is large with a dark decor that shows off the backlit shelves behind the bar that hold the hotels bar drinks. Their are large, central light fittings, a lounge/library area and an internet corner. It is a most attractive and welcoming lobby which has helped to raise this property from a average 2 star hotel to an exceptional 3 star property.General:This is a lovely, 3 star hotel in an excellent condition that offers excellent accommodation and comes highly recommended.

Location:This hotel is perfectly situated on the Rembrandtplein in the heart of the city. It is close to all the main tourist attractions and is easily accessible by tram from Central Station.Rooms:The rooms are medium-sized and were renovated in 2006 to an extremely high standard. The colour scheme is earthy with dark wood furniture, brown walls and carpet and lime green chairs, all in very good condition. The bathrooms feature dark grey slate tiles, or blue floor tiles, with large, white and square modern sinks and silver trimming,including new hairdryers. All are in very good condition.Restaurant:Breakfast is served in an airy and large room that may be found on the first floor and accessible by elevator. Due to the location of this hotel, only breakfast is served although one can also eat at their sister hotel located across the square or in one of the numerous eateries located on the hotels doorstep.Exterior:The building is modern in contrast to its immediate surroundings, but seems to blend in well due to its size.Lobby:The lobby is small but cosy with ample seating on very comfortable and plump armchairs.The colours of the lobby are predominantly green and blue with dark wooden walls.General:A nice hotel with an excellent location.

They are in very good condition and have recently benefitted from a make over where the colour scheme is a more attractive cream and beige, with wooden flooring and LCD televisions, along with a media hub in all rooms. The bathrooms are also in good condition and although with shower only, the showers are large with glass doors and are generally quite modern and attractive.Restaurant:Located on the ground floor, behind the bar area, the restaurant is also attractive with modern flooring and there is a garden with a deck where people can have breakfast.Exterior:A modern, purpose-built hotel.Lobby:The lobby was renovated in 2009 and is large and spacious with marble floor, limited seating and leads to the large bar area which has also been renovated in an attractive dark wood and red colour scheme and which offers ample seatin and a small bar menu.General:A good Ibis hotel with a good location. jg/03/2009

All are in very good condition and offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They are predomintantly in a blue and beige colour scheme with a wood desk and silver mirror, while the bathrooms are pristine black and white and like the bedrooms, in very good condition. Single rooms are with shower only. All rooms are non-smoking and have air conditioning (except the single rooms).Restaurant:The breakfast room is located on the lower ground floor and was renovated in 2008. It has a slate floor, black and silver seating and is very elegant. The main breakfast room leads to a beautifully kept garden where ample tables and chairs and even sofas are available, weather permitting.Exterior:The hotel is in a traditional building dating back to the late 1890s.Lobby:The lobby, bar and reception is one open area, and was also renovated in 2008. Contemporary in design with a beige, slate grey and black colour scheme there is a bar area and a very comfortable lounge area. The impressive reception desk is very large and very shiny and very black but all very welcoming.General:This is a good and welcoming boutique style designer property in central Amsterdam. The large bar area, which is located on the upper split level, serves a light menu available for lunch and dinner and in the summer, there is a small patio.Exterior:This is a modern, purpose built hotelLobby:The lobby is medium in size with marble floor and modern furniture in bright blue and yellow. All the bedroom furniture is from Italy as one of the owners is Italian and the bedrooms are all medium sized with light wood and burgundy colours - again, of a very high standard for this kind of product, especially with this location. The bathrooms are also in good condition.Restaurant:The hotel offers breakfast only and the breakfast area is in the bar and also behind the bar which is partitioned by a particularly attractive fake wooden book case showing that the hotel gives much attention to detail.Exterior:Although surrounded by traditional buildings, this hotel was completely knocked down before it was reconstructed in 2002 therefore the building is modern but in traditional surroundings.Lobby:The lobby is small and includes a bar but is decorated very nicely and a little eccentrically with dark red walls and dark brown furniture and attractive, ornate gilt mirrors. It is very welcoming and of a very high standard for this kind of product in the heart of Amsterdam.General:This is an excellent product in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam and is probably the best product of its category in this area. 020807JG

It is a very white building that stands out from the other buildings in the street.Lobby:The lobby is quite small but incorporates a cold corner where small food items may be purchased, and this leads down to the lower ground eating area.General:This is a very good 3 star hotel in an ideal location and comes highly recommended.

Location:This charming hotel is ideally situated along one of Amsterdam's historic and infamous canals, the Herengracht. The city's museums and entertainment centres are all within walking distance, as well as the famous Amsterdam flower market, Central Station and Rembrandtsplein.Rooms:The bedrooms are all-inclusive, meaning that mini-bar drinks, cable TV and films are all complimentary. The bedrooms are in very good condition and are decorated in a faux art-deco style, with wooden furniture, plasma television and surround sound, burgundy curtains, a black armchair and foot stool and an art deco wardrobe. The bathrooms have also been completely renovated and are also in very good condition with black and white tiling and a power shower with extra large shower head in every room.Restaurant:The hotel does not have a restaurant due to the numerous restaurants surrounding the hotel However, there is a breakfast room on the lower ground floor. This was also completely renovated in 2004 and now has a black and white tiled floor. There is some seating available on a yellow banquette and a breakfast buffet is served on an imitation Aga cooker. The wooden dressers and the Aga give a cosy and homey atmosphere, and some items are cooked on the spot e.g. pancakes, waffles etc. There is also a large table adorned with magazines and sightseeing leaflets.Exterior:It is an old building, recently cleaned and protected as one of Amsterdam's monuments.Lobby:The lobby, like the rest of the hotel, is reminiscent of the art deco era, the period in which the hotel was actually built. It has stained glass windows, wooden floors and an attractive wooden reception desk. Extending from the lobby is the lounge area, which has ample seating on multicoloured furniture, a feature fire place, a complimentary bar and an Internet corner.General:This hotel is very well located and offers the guest a unique concept in as much as everything is included, from the mini bar in the rooms, to the drinks in the hotel bar and use of the Internet. The only exception is phone calls. This is one of the finest first class properties in Amsterdam.
