Hodakaso Yamanoiori

This Japanese style inn is located in the Takayama area, the main city of Gifu-prefecture. It is a 4-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station and a 10-minute drive from both the Shoren-ji Temple, Japan's oldest temple of the Jodo Shinshu sect and Hida No Sato Minzoku Mura Folk Village, the traditional architectural village that showcase the lifestyle and houses of the mountainous regions of Japan. There are both traditional and western style rooms. The former feature a tatami floor, shoji sliding paper screens and low furniture, while the later low bed mattresses. Guests can relax in the spacious hot spring baths or enjoy a traditional meal, prepared by using Hida's local ingredients and featuring fresh seafood and beef, at the onsite restaurant.
